I couldn't sleep for the twitchy, addictive need to draw.
Did this in about ten minutes with my tablet and Photoshop. It's no more than a glorified gesture drawing. Any critiques of proportion or shadow or anything else will be pointedly ignored. I
know. It's rough as hell. I'm not pretending it's anything but. It was just an attempt to get this out of my system so that I can go to bed.
...and I drew a person yawning.
Yawning. Is there any more awkward action that has ever been captured on paper than the yawn? It's spastic and uncoordinated and awful. So not only is this a ten-minute rough-as-hell sketch not to be spoken of in any artistic terms, but also the very concept of the model's posture is guarenteed to be unbeautiful. Joy.
(But, while it's here, I'm using it to point out that I can draw things other than idiotic, five-minute, made-up-as-I-go-along-because-I-actually-d
on't-watch/read-any-anime/manga!chibis. If I actually concentrate instead of scribbling impatiently, I can do even better. Just so everyone knows.)
( Yawn. )
